The Communication University of China launches virtual version on Baidu’s metaverse

The Communication University of China has tapped on Baidu’s XiRang platform to replicate its physical campus on the metaverse.

As for the virtual campus, metaverse visitors can explore a digital version of the university by using a VR headset, mobile device, or PC.

Last month, Meta Platforms (formerly Facebook) partnered with VR headset producer VictoryXR in an initiative to launch 10 metaverse university campuses across the US by 2022.
