Indian Finance Minister Tarun Bajaj stated that if investors make a profit when investing in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, they should pay taxes. This is regardless of whether the field is regulated in India or not. Bajaj said the Ministry of Finance is working on a similar concept ensuring that people pay taxes when they make a profit in the cryptocurrency system. However, he added that he is not yet aware of the latest developments of the Ministry of Economic Affairs regarding cryptocurrency matters. The Ministry of Finance is considering any relevant news and discussing it.
