The University of Namibia (UNAM), a higher education institution in Namibia, will start offering courses related to blockchain technology in 2024, according to Samuel Nuungulu, head of the IT department at the University of Namibia. The chair of the Steering Committee for the UNAM Master in Blockchain Technology said that by introducing the degree programme, the university hopes to “use the skills that the program will create to lay the foundation for the incubation of tech start-ups. The chair also revealed that the university is already building blockchain-based technology. The content “injected” into UNAM’s Level 8 program, which the agency hopes to serve in the Senate next year.
